Subject:	2020 Focused Updates to the Asthma Management Guidelines
Purpose (e.g., abstract):	A working group of the NAEPPCC comprised of experts in asthma has evaluated scientific evidence in select areas of asthma management and diagnosis. The report resulting from this evaluation was accepted by the NAEPPCC in May and identifies and updates six topics of high priority in the current Expert Panel Report 3: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma (EPR-3). Individuals with expertise in guidelines development, NAEPP participant organizations, federal partners, advocacy organizations, and the public provided input. The report provides clinical and implementation guidance intended to help primary care providers, asthma care specialists, caregivers, and patients work together to make decisions about the optimal asthma management

Review Description:	In addition to the review from agents representing federal organizations (12/2019-02/2020), and review from organizations and individuals through public comment (12/2/19-1/17/20), the expert panel convened by the NAEPPCC engaged in an extensive review of these inputs, the scientific evidence, and the patient/provider/caregiver perspectives provided through focus group discussions.
